Walls, walls, walls

Hello Again! Summer is flying by with social engagements and mini-travels. And the cobbing continues, sporadically, but surely.

Now that the interior furniture is in place, it’s all about walls. This “corner” is above the bed. Plenty of nooks and crannies for shrinic and shiny things.

The closet will have a door in the back of it, like a magic wardrobe. Lamp post needed!

Little odd shaped windows give light to storage spaces and provide peeky-holes to the approaching path.

Enjoy summer!

Farewell to Summer

image

Summer vacation is long over, and the last official summer days have dwindled down to one. The cob walls are close to done. This fall they will be completed. This winter we’ll finish the indoor furniture (bench, bed, rocket stove). With spring will come plaster and floors. Finally, a light at the end of the tunnel. Goodbye, Summer. Hello, Autumn.

Outdoor Rooms

We just added a third deck that connects the bath/greenhouse. All decks are built on pier blocks and sort of float in the greenery like an island in a sea of elderberry and salmon berry.

In the summer, these become the living rooms in our tiny house complex. We entertain guests out here, but mostly, we lounge, read, chat, build things, keep container gardens and hang out with the dogs.

Oregon February

It’s time! Time to plant peas. Time to clean up Winter’s mess. Last year’s splendor lay decaying everywhere. Time to wipe it away. And under the slimy leaves and needles, magic is happening.
