The quality of light in an earthen building is something special. The walls look soft and inviting. The natural clay or earth “paints” (alise or frescoes on limewash) absorb light as the cob walls absorb warmth and release it back into the room.

  1. I will miss Limbach very much but I can not wait to see the Pacific again. Werner would appreciate the cob piggy–not to worry, he only goes after wild boars. Speaking of; there used to be a wild bore at OSD.

    1. Can’t wait to have you back in the land of beer, coffee, waves and rain clouds! I heard the story of the wild boar. Ugly and mean, or so it’s told.
